It all began with a wedding cake course which I took with my chef. I’m grateful to my chef, Sharmin Ahmed Baishakhi, who inspired me to pursue my passion for baking. I’m thankful for the opportunity to have learned from her, even though it was for a very short time. She played a significant role in my baking journey, and I appreciate the impact she has had on my life. With the guidance of my chef, I learned the fundamentals of wedding cake making and was inspired to learn more. That session sparked a passion for baking within me, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
After moving to Canada, I pursued a Diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts to further hone my skills. Then I started working in the baking industry, where I’ve been learning so many new things and continuing to grow myself. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I’m excited to see where my love for baking takes me next!
Although I’ve come a long way, I still consider myself a student of baking. There’s always more to learn, and I feel like a newbie compared to the vast expertise out there. That’s why I’m excited to share my journey with you – I’m not claiming to be an expert, but rather a curious baker eager to grow and improve.
On this blog, I’ll be sharing modified recipes that I’ve learned from my mentors, online courses, and hands-on practice. I’ll add my own twists and tips, but I want to be transparent – these recipes aren’t entirely my own creations. I’m building upon the knowledge of those who have inspired me, and I hope to learn from you, too! Join me on this sweet adventure as I continue to learn, experiment, and share my passion for baking with you!
